I tried to pick my favorite one, but couldn't pin it down Bazza, too many too good. Einstein, Gaudi, Cezanne, Allen, all the women, just too many to be partial.
I guess that is why you had to do a series, huh?
Dylan ought to be interesting, I have said some very derogatory things about him, but I think highly of him even at the same time. Actually find much of his life quite courageous.
But really, I am partial to humans in general, lol, they all have something great to offer.
I have enjoyed the series and especially the way you have presented these people, you are my real favorite Bazza, you have been for a long time. Take care of yourself, and keep up the great work.
Thank you for your kind and charming comments, Jim. I deeply appreciate the way you have supported me almost from the day I started blogging. It means a lot to me.
Thanks, also, for your comment about Bobby Moore. He is a national hero in England and a local lad to my part of the world.
I love your Hero series. Thanks for compiling it for us. Can't wait for Dylan!
OK Mimi, I'd better get to work!
Einstein is easily my first pick. My number two is going to take a little more thought.
Great! Thank you!
slaghammer & imemine: I love 'em all!
Hi, thx for compiling them all together in one post. I always liked your "My Heroes" series.
Hi, Raj, welcome back. It's good to hear from you again.
Great! Thank you for doing this.
My list would include Thomas Merton, Beethoven, St. John Chrysostom, Robertson Davies, Jim Wallis...
Hello Pentha. Thanks for an interesting list of your own. Apart from Beethoven I had not heard of any of those people so I just checked them all out. A worthy bunch of people! I was pleased to discover that the accusations of anti-semitism against St John Chrysostom were ill-founded. Thanks for broadening my experience.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Shakespeare....yes! What a man.
Here are a few more heroes:
George Best
Bobby Charlton
Wayne Rooney
Cristiano Ronaldo
Denis Law
Alex Ferguson
Matt Busby
Duncan Edwards
Roy Keane
Ryan Giggs
Paul Scholes
Paddy Crerard
Gary Neville
Bryan Robson
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Alex Stepney
Nobby Stiles
Steve Bruce
Gary Pallister
(No bias intended towards any particular football team.)
mimi: A very belated thank you for that wish.
rob: For those who are unaware all of those names were (or are) Manchester United soccer (the real football!) players.
Real heroes every one of them!
My new blog, To Discover Ice, is at: http://todiscoverice.blogspot.com/ See you there!
Bazza
This is my first time i visit here. I found so many entertaining stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your posts, I guess I am not the only one having all the enjoyment here! Keep up the excellent work.
